Bureau spokesperson said that Gurpreet Singh had complained against ASI Kulwinder Singh, posted in Ludhiana city, that the said policeman had demanded Rs 5,000 instead of presenting a challan in the court in the police case registered against his niece. Bribe was demanded. After probing the complaint, the bureau laid a trap and nabbed Kulwinder Singh while accepting the bribe in the presence of two government witnesses. A case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
