Rachel Haynes retires from international cricket

Melbourne. Australian women’s cricket team’s star batsman and vice-captain Rachel Haynes has announced her retirement from international cricket. He played six Tests, 77 ODIs and 84 T20 Internationals for his country.
The 35-year-old left-handed batsman, Haynes made his international debut in 2009. He said in the statement that I was able to establish myself in such a long career of the game because of all the player companions. You inspired me every day, I learned a lot from you on and off the field. He said, “As a player you have challenged me which helped me grow as a person and most importantly made cricket exciting.”
Haynes is the ninth highest run-scorer for Australia in the limited overs format. He scored 2585 runs in ODIs at an average of 40.76 while in T20 Internationals he scored 850 runs at 26.56. She was playing the role of Australia’s vice-captain since 2018. Since then, Australia has won one title in the 50-over World Cup and two in the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, Australia won the gold medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games this year in his presence.
Haynes will play for Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League next month but will not play domestic cricket for New South Wales after that.
