Explain that on May 21, the government had cut the excise duty on oil by Rs 8 on petrol and Rs 6 on diesel. After which petrol became cheaper by about Rs 9.30. At present, the last hike in the prices of petrol and diesel was done on April 6, 2022. After this, there has been no increase in its prices for about two and a half months.

Prices stable after heavy volatility
