Dr. Gidikumar Patil, popularly known as Jaguar Kumar, said that his biggest priority is to save his jaguar Yash and the female leopard Sabrina. Patil, 42, originally from Andhra Pradesh, had to move out of the country in search of an alternative source of income. They have left their pets with a local farmer in Luhansk, eastern Ukraine.

Patil, who lives in Warsaw, Poland, said, “My humble message is that in view of the current situation of these animals and to provide them immediate protection, consider finding the best solution and work in this direction expeditiously.” Patil said that he is deeply saddened by the loss of his pet, he misses them a lot and worries about their well being, due to which he feels depressed at times. Patil had bought these two animals from a zoo in Kyiv about two years ago and he has been taking care of them since then.

According to the PMO, PM Modi once again reiterated the need to end the hostilities between Russia and Ukraine and follow the path of dialogue and diplomacy. During this, PM Modi, while talking to Zelensky, had also reiterated the importance of respecting the United Nations Charter, international law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.
