Cyclonic storm ‘Mandus’ will create havoc! Heavy rain alert here, holiday in schools and colleges

New Delhi | Cyclone Mandous: The winter in North India is now going to gain more strength. Right now it is only cold, but now be ready for the bone-chilling cold as well. Now the weather of the country is going to bear the brunt of the cyclonic storm. The cyclonic storm ‘Mandus’ formed over the Bay of Bengal will hit the Chennai coast today. The effect of which will be seen on North India as well and the cold will increase.

Cyclone Mandous: According to the Meteorological Department, due to the cyclone, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at most places and heavy to very heavy rain at a few places on December 9 i.e. today. There is a warning of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry. Due to which the administration is on alert mode and NDRF teams have been deployed. Apart from this, holiday has been declared in schools and colleges in many districts.

Cyclone Mandous: According to the Meteorological Department, tonight the storm may pass between Sriharikota and Puducherry in Andhra Pradesh. Due to which heavy rains are expected in many parts of Tamil Nadu. It is being told that the cyclonic storm will cross the coast of South Andhra Pradesh with a speed of 75-85 kmph. In view of this, 3 districts of Tamil Nadu, Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Kanchipuram have been kept on red alert. The cyclone is currently continuing to move west-northwest.

The IMD predicted that Cyclone Mandus would move west-northwestwards and gradually intensify further into a cyclonic storm and cross north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coast between Puducherry and Sriharikota around December 10. .
