36 labs in the country for genome sequencing

Mansukh Mandaviya said, ‘At present 36 labs are available in the country for genome sequencing. Of these, 30 thousand genome sequencing can be done. This capacity is also being increased by using private labs.

‘Omicron’ variant polymorphism

Health Minister Mandaviya further said in the House, that the ‘Omicron’ variant is behaving like a polymorph. Its form has been changing from time to time. It is coming out in the form of new mutants. We are keeping a close watch on it.

Continuing studies on the behavior of mutants

At the same time, regarding the dosage of corona vaccine in the country, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, ‘So far 89 percent of the first dose has been given in the country. Whereas, about 07 crore doses are still lying with different states. He said that there are two expert groups in the country and when both of them give consent, we will give third or booster dose. In fact, after the arrival of the new corona virus, people have demanded the third dose in the country. The Health Minister gave the answer to this.

‘Appropriate Behavior’ is of Corona

The Health Minister further said, ‘A team of experts in Kerala studied and advised that adopting ‘appropiate behavior’ is the best way to do it. Said, today 23 cases of Omicron have been found in the country. We discuss this with scientists every morning. We are constantly studying how the mutants are behaving.
