A man named Amit Patel, originally from Vadodara and permanent in Edison, New Jersey, USA, has been convicted by the Camden Federal Court of New Jersey in the ‘International Parental Abduction’ case. According to the information, Amit can be sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of 2.5 million dollars in this case.

According to the report, Amit was accused of not bringing the US-born child back to his mother in America after taking him to India. This is called International Parental Kidnapping. Amit has been convicted in this charge.

Amit was found guilty in the case after a five-day trial by US District Judge Renee Marie Bamb in court in New Jersey last week. It is believed that Amit will be sentenced in November. According to US Attorney Philip Salinger, Amit has been found guilty of kidnapping the child, obstructing the rights of the child’s mother and not bringing the child back to the US.

Please tell that the child’s mother and Amit Patel lived together in New Jersey from August 2015 to July 2017. Both had not married. They had a boy in November 2016. Amit took the child to India in July 2017 and called the mother and said that now he will never bring the child to America. On this the child’s mother took legal advice and filed a case in the court. In October 2020, Amit took the child to England where Amit was arrested on request by the US.
