Once again Virat Kohli got out playing cover drive shot, now he has to be trolled

IND vs SA 1st Test: Captain Virat Kohli once again made the same mistake which he has done many times for the last 2 years. In the second innings of the Centurion Test, he gave his wicket by hitting the ball far outside the off-stump. He was dismissed similarly in the first innings as well. This time Marco Jensen made him his victim. Kohli was dismissed after scoring 18 runs off 32 balls.

This year, against New Zealand in the World Test Championship and also on the tour of England, he was dismissed while trying to make a cover drive on balls going outside the off-stump. Now this trend continues on the tour of South Africa as well. In the first innings of the Centurion Test, Lungi Ngidi also got him caught at slips on a similar ball.

Now when once again Kohli got out in the same style, cricket fans on Twitter have started trolling him fiercely. Some fans even said that do not touch such balls for God’s sake.

Former cricketers Sanjay Bangar and Sunil Gavaskar have also advised him to avoid this shot and play mostly on the backfoot. Sunil Gavaskar even advised him to talk to Sachin Tendulkar about this. Now Twitter users are also telling them that Sachin had scored 241 runs without hitting a cover drive. Now the time has come for Kohli to learn something from him.
