The Bharatiya Janata Party has to take a big decision about Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party leaders are apprehensive that the central government may restore the pre-1993 situation by dissolving the Delhi Assembly. If this happens, Arvind Kejriwal will be on foot. Then politics will be difficult for them. Due to this apprehension, Kejriwal has taken a sharp stand against the BJP and the central government. But the question is, will the central government really dissolve the Delhi Assembly and if it does, what will be its time? Will the BJP wait till the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections or will the decision be taken before that?
It is being said that BJP will take one more chance. Under the command of Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party has defeated the BJP in two consecutive elections. However, there is some fault of BJP in that too. Kejriwal’s first election was in 2013, when he got 28 seats and BJP became the single largest party with 32 seats. Then the BJP contested the election under the command of Dr Harsh Vardhan. Don’t know why two years later the BJP ousted Harsh Vardhan and contested on the face of Kiran Bedi, in which the party was reduced to three seats. However, the BJP lost two elections in 2015 and 2020. But won all the seats in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and also won the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections in 2017.
Therefore BJP wants to take one more chance in the municipal elections. It is being said that before that BJP is also looking for a new face for Delhi. After trying from Kiran Bedi to Manoj Tiwari, now the party is talking to well-known poet and old leader of Aam Aadmi Party, Kumar Vishwas. He has been very close to Kejriwal at some point of time and nowadays he is opening a front against Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. He was the first to challenge Delhi’s liquor policy and without naming Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia made a big allegation against one of his relatives. Now the Lieutenant Governor has handed over the investigation of this matter to the CBI.
Speculation of Kumar Vishwas joining the BJP has intensified after the decision on liquor policy and CBI probe of Manish Sisodia. It is believed in the BJP that even now the number of people who believe in Kumar Vishwas in the Aam Aadmi Party is very large. They will be neutral or join the BJP. Kumar Vishwas is a Brahmin and belongs to Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, the migrant vote can also join with the BJP. Poetry and Ramkatha have increased his popularity a lot. So, BJP is thinking of placing a bet on his face. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party leaders are scanning his Twitter timeline and searching for tweets criticizing the BJP.
