On Raksha Bandhan, &TV actresses talk about their special bond with their brothers
Goddess Parvati, ie Shivya Pathania, of &TV’s ‘Bal Shiva’ said, “We celebrate Raksha Bandhan in a very traditional way. It is always a big festival in my hometown, Himachal Pradesh. With my big family we celebrate this festival in our old house. It is a custom in our house that after tying Rakhi to our brothers, we break down on our favorite dishes. And this year also nothing will change. Due to my busy shooting schedule, I will not be with my family this year. But will send rakhi to my younger sister Divya, who will tie rakhi to my brother Shivam on my behalf and I will watch it on video call. But my Raksha Bandhan will not end here. As soon as I get a long break, I will go home and spend loving moments with my family and dear brother. To receive a gift too (laughs). But to be honest, my brother is very special to me. He is not only my brother, but he becomes my father when I need guidance, and becomes my friend when I want to tell a secret and get an opinion. I am grateful to have a brother like him in life. I wish Shivam and all my other brothers a very Happy Raksha Bandhan.”
