Oil became costlier by Rs 7.20

State-owned oil marketing companies on Saturday increased the price of both the fuels by 80-80 paise per liter.

After the increase on Saturday, the price of one liter of petrol in the national capital Delhi went up to Rs 102 and in Mumbai by Rs 117. Petrol price in Delhi on Saturday stood at Rs 102.61 and diesel at Rs 93.87 per liter. In Mumbai, a liter of petrol reached Rs 117.57 and diesel Rs 101.79 a liter. It is believed that the price of both the fuels will increase further. Keep in mind that due to the election of five states, the prices were stable for 137 days and they started increasing from March 22, 12 days after the results were announced.

However, in the past few days, the price of crude oil in the international market had reached $140 per barrel. But now it is declining. Crude oil prices in the international market on Friday saw the biggest fall in the last two years in a week. The price of crude oil has fallen to $ 104 per barrel. However, due to Russia-Ukraine war, oil prices are going to remain high.
