In the midst of this rift in the Grand Alliance, the Congress has offered Jan Adhikar Party (Democratic) patron Pappu Yadav to contest the elections for the Tarapur seat.

The cracks in the relationship of the Grand Alliance are now clearly visible regarding the by-elections being held in two assembly seats of Bihar (Kusheshwarsthan and Tarapur). The Congress has distanced itself from the Grand Alliance regarding this by-election. In this regard, the Bihar Congress has accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of not following the alliance religion.

The party’s state president Madan Mohan Jha said, ‘When RJD has already fielded its candidates on these seats, where is the alliance now? The alliance is broken. He said that now the Congress is left with no other option but to field its candidates in both the seats for the by-polls.

Offer to Pappu Yadav: On the other hand, Congress Legislature Party leader Ajit Sharma said about Tarapur seat that the state Congress has offered Jan Adhikar Party (Democratic) patron Pappu Yadav to contest from Tarapur seat. He said that, we are talking to Pappu Yadav right now, but the condition of his fighting will be that he will have to fight the election on the symbol of Congress. Please tell that Pappu Yadav is considered to be the second big leader of Yadav society after Lalu Prasad Yadav in Bihar. On Monday itself, he was acquitted from the Madhepura court.

What Pappu Yadav said: On the proposal of Congress to contest the by-election from Tarapur seat, Pappu Yadav said that there has been no talk with our Congress in this regard. Talk on this is possible in Patna on Tuesday. Only after that a decision will be taken. He said that I cannot go with RJD in Bihar under any circumstances.

What RJD said: Although Bihar Congress may be accusing RJD of not following the alliance religion, but RJD state president Jagdanand Singh says that, our aim is to beat the opponents. Talks were held thrice with Congress state president Madan Mohan Jha regarding the by-elections. We are asking everyone for cooperation in this by-election. On the question of his displeasure with the Congress, he said that, we are the partners of the Grand Alliance, we respect everyone. The same Tejashwi Yadav has also said that the party will contest from Kusheshwarsthan and Tarapur and register victory.
