Odisha government seeks report from all departments on 2019 election promises, discussion will be held on May 29

BHUBANESWAR, 09 MAY: The Naveen Patnaik government of Odisha will complete the third year of its fifth term on May 29. The CM Naveen Patnaik government has sought a report from all the departments on how much work has been done on the promises made in the BJD’s 2019 election manifesto. The State Planning and Convergence Department has written a letter to all the departments in this regard. Issues related to the achievements of the government will also be discussed in the meeting of the Council of Ministers to be held on May 29.

According to officials, the progress of programs like interest free loans to farmers, investment of Rs 50,000 crore in irrigation projects, government business facility of Rs 5,000 crore annually to Mission Shakti members, interest free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh to Mission Shakti groups Demand for separate department for Mission Shakti, establishment of Orissa model schools in remaining 124 blocks, creation of world class sports infrastructure, reorganization of state commission for backward classes, opening more food centers and bringing small and marginal farmers under procurement system Has been.

Among other things, the state government has taken up other major initiatives like construction of five medical colleges in the state, distribution of smart health cards, creation of best infrastructure for development of MSME units, providing shelter security, converting all kutcha houses into pucca. The status report of the progress of the promises has also been sought.

Ensuring 24×7 water supply to all municipal areas, expanding the scope of the JAG Mission, building the Biju Expressway, improving 1,000 km of rural roads and building at least 750 bridges in rural Odisha were also among the poll promises. Therefore, its report will also have to be given to the meeting.
