Number of devotees doubled in Kashi Vishwanath

 

Varanasi. Ever since the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, there is a reverse flow of devotees in Varanasi. The number of devotees attending the five aartis here has doubled day by day. Also the new corridor is attracting people. Due to this the number of tourists is increasing and people are also getting employment. Five aartis are performed every day in Kashi Vishwanath, in which there is Mangala Aarti in the morning, Bhoga Aarti in the middle of the day, Saptarishi Aarti, Shringar Bhog and Shayan Aarti in the night. Sunil Verma, Chief Executive Officer of Kashi Vishwanath Dham said that the number of devotees attending the four daily aartis from December 2020 to September 2021 was 58,096, before the launch of Kashi Vishwanath Dham through Sugam Darshan through tickets. Whereas after the launch, the number of people attending the four aartis more than doubled to 1,26,510.

He said that in the coming time the number of devotees attending the aarti is likely to increase further. Neeraj Kumar Pandey, the archarch of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, told that the aarti of Lord Vishwanath is based on the four Vedas. He told that with the darshan of Mahadev, devotees get the special fruits of aarti. After the expansion of Vishwanath Dham, where one crore devotees attended Baba’s court in the month of Sawan, after the inauguration of the Dham, the number of people attending Baba’s aarti has more than doubled. The day of Pradhan Jyotirling Kashi Vishwanath begins with Mangala Aarti.

There is Bhog Aarti in the afternoon, Saptarishi Aarti in the evening and after that Shringar Bhog Aarti. In the night, there is Shayan Aarti at the time of Mahadev’s sleep, in which there is no ticket sale. Before the launch, the number of devotees who attended the aarti from December 2020 to September 2021 were Mangala Aarti 27175, Bhog Aarti 10824, Saptarishi Aarti-14655, Shringar Bhog Aarti 5442 people attended. After the inauguration of the corridor, from December 2021 to September 2022, Mangala Aarti 74302, Bhog Aarti 12475, Saptarishi Aarti 26794, Shringar Aarti 12939 devotees attended.
