The International Football Federation (FIFA) has declared the draws of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup. A draw ceremony was organized by FIFA here on Friday. Group E is dubbed the Group of Death, as it included 2010 World Cup champions Spain, four-time title winners Germany and Asian powerhouse Japan, which entered the knockout stages at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Apart from this, Intercontinental Playoff winners Costa Rica or New Zealand will join this group.

Five-time world champion Brazil in Group G

FIFA World Cup 2022: Hosts Qatar will play against Ecuador in the first match of the World Cup on 21 November. The reigning Asian champions Qatar, who are making their World Cup debut, will also face the Netherlands and Africa champions Senegal in Group A. While five-time world champion Brazil has been placed in Group G along with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon. Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland were placed in the same group in the last World Cup as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal Group H

FIFA World Cup 2022: Lionel Messi-led Argentina will face Robert Lewandowski’s Poland, Mexico and Saudi Arabia in Group C, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal are placed in Group H along with Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea. Defending champions France are in Group D with Denmark and Tunisia, which will also be joined by a team that wins the Intercontinental Playoff, which could be Australia, the UAE or Peru.

Competition will run from 21st November to 18th December 2022

FIFA World Cup 2022: England and America will meet each other in Group B, where Iran and European playoff winners Wales, Scotland or Ukraine will be the fourth team. Apart from this, the semi-finalists of 2018 Belgium and Croatia will face each other in Group F, in which the other two teams are Canada and Morocco. FIFA President Gianni Infantino said at the draw ceremony that there will be more than 3 million spectators for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and five billion people will watch the World Cup from home. This world cup will be the best world cup ever. This World Cup 22nd FIFA World Cup will be played from 21 November to 18 December 2022 in 8 stadiums in Qatar.
