Now it’s Haryana’s turn

Where the Congress party has made strong satraps and has given power in the hands of one person for a long time, the party has ended and has moved towards the end. Based on this principle, the next turn is of Haryana. Earlier in Haryana, leaders used to change in turn. Both Banshilal and Bhajanlal were equally powerful. But in 2004, the Congress handed over both the party and the state to Bhupinder Singh Hooda. He was kept as the Chief Minister for 10 years. After that, the party has lost two assembly and two Lok Sabha elections in the last eight years. Still, the command of the party is in the hands of Hooda as the party cannot take any decision there without his consent. Hooda and his son Deepender both lost the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, after which Hooda twisted his arm and snatched the Rajya Sabha seat of Kumari Selja for his son Deepender Hooda.

Even now, he has compelled the party high command to make a person close to him the state president, bypassing all the leaders like Randeep Surjewala, Kumari Selja, Kiran Choudhary etc. He himself is the leader of the legislature party and his son has got a Rajya Sabha seat. Even after this, there is no guarantee that they will strengthen the Congress. If Khuda na Khaste Congress wins, Hooda will become the Chief Minister and even if he loses, the command of the party will remain in his hands. If the Congress high command tries to do something without their consent, they will break the Congress and form a separate party. By the time they do this, all the big leaders of the state Congress will have been dealt with.
