Now all consumers will be given the option of giving up subsidy or continuing to get free electricity from October 1. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that up to 200 units of electricity is free. Two to four hundred units are half bills. He said- This was the demand of some people, it was absolutely right that we can give electricity bill, why are we being given subsidy. We should be given a choice whether we want to pay, or if we don’t want to.

Kejriwal said- A few months ago the government decided that we will give subsidy only to those who apply. Now that scheme is going to be implemented. We had said that the old scheme would continue till September 30. From October 1, only those who will apply will get the subsidy. On Wednesday, he said – Today we are releasing the ways to apply. A form will come with the electricity bill, by filling that form, you can submit it where you go to deposit the bill. He issued a phone number and said that one can also make missed calls on it. After that a link will appear in a message and click on it. A form will open on your WhatsApp. You can fill it and submit it.
