If you are fond of drinking alcohol and go to bars for drinking then this news is for you. You will no longer be able to drink alcohol in the bar without ID proof. First you have to show your ID card to the bar manager. After which the bar manager will decide whether to serve alcohol or not.

Actually this order has been issued by SSP Parul Mathur of Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh. According to the order, people below 21 years of age will neither get alcohol nor beer in the bar. The SSP has ordered that those who come to drink alcohol should first see their ID cards. He should be served intoxicants only after ascertaining the age from the ID card. He has also instructed all the bar operators to follow the rules of excise. Including opening and closing times of the bar. If this is not followed in any bar then strict action will be taken against the bar operator and his manager.

Talking to the media, the SSP says that more crimes are taking place in the district under the influence of alcohol and the involvement of minors is more in those crimes. According to the Excise Rules, sale of liquor or narcotic drugs to persons below 21 years of age is prohibited. Because of this, he has issued notices to the operators of the district 18 times. If liquor is given to a person below 21 years of age, then legal action will be taken against the bar operator. Their ID card or valid document should be checked first in the bar and only then they should be allowed inside.
