No action will be taken against Shastri for attending book launch event: Sourav Ganguly

BCCI President and former India captain Sourav Ganguly has defended Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri for attending the book launch event in London ahead of the fourth Test. Ganguly has said that the board will not take any action against Shastri for this. However, Ganguly has made it clear that Shastri and other members of Team India did not take the approval of the board for attending the event. However, he has clarified that the board is not contemplating to take any action against Shastri for this. 

What Ganguly said in defense 

Sourav Ganguly defended Shastri and other members of Team India for attending this event, saying, "How long can you stay locked in your hotel room? Can you stay locked in your house day and night? From hotel to cricket ground and then back to hotel, you cannot live life like this."
 
Simultaneously Ganguly said, "I am coming here today after shooting for an episode of my program ‘Dadagiri’. Around 100 people were present on the shooting. Everyone had received both doses of the vaccine. However, even after this, you cannot guarantee anything. People who have got both doses of the vaccine have also come to the fore of having Kovid. Life is like this nowadays.
