New Delhi. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday, the last day of his three-day visit to Delhi. He once again reiterated that he is not a prime ministerial candidate. Nitish said that he only wants the opposition parties to come together and fight the elections. Nitish Kumar said that if Congress President Sonia Gandhi returns from abroad, he will meet her. He also said that he would meet all the leaders again if needed.
Significantly, Nitish had reached Delhi on September 5 and met Rahul Gandhi. In two days, he had met leaders like CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav, JDS leaders HD Kumaraswamy, Omprakash Chautala, Sharad Yadav etc. On Wednesday, he met Sharad Pawar.
The meeting of both the leaders took place at the residence of Sharad Pawar at 6, Janpath in Delhi. After meeting Sharad Pawar, Nitish Kumar said- We have met in a good atmosphere. He said that BJP is not doing any work, so it is necessary for maximum opposition to be united. If all the opposition parties come together, it will be for the good of the country.
