Nitish’s campaign from next month

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s national campaign will start next month. There is a meeting of the national executive of his party Janata Dal-U early next month. This meeting will be held in Patna on September 3 and 4, in which Nitish Kumar will be told as PM material on behalf of the party. It has been told before. But it is being said that any proposal can also come in this meeting. Informed leaders of the party say that the proposal can be accepted in the meeting of the National Executive that if the opposition parties agree, then Nitish Kumar will become the prime ministerial candidate.

Keep in mind that JD(U) is not taking any initiative from its side nor is it giving the message that Nitish Kumar is anxious to become the prime ministerial candidate. Unlike Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Nitish and his party are being very careful. The party’s national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh said that Nitish Kumar has no ambition to become the prime ministerial candidate but if the opposition parties ask, he will be ready. Party Parliamentary Board President Upendra Kushwaha said the same thing in another way. He said JD(U) would not create any hurdle in opposition unity. That is, if the opposition parties say then Nitish will be the contender and if the opposition parties decide the name of any other leader, then JDU will support him.

It’s a very smart bet and suits Nitish’s nature perfectly. They never go ahead and do any work. They create such situations that others take the initiative. However, Nitish Kumar will come to Delhi after the party’s national executive meeting. After breaking rapport with BJP and forming government with RJD and Congress, he has not come to Delhi yet. Tejashwi Yadav and Lalan Singh had definitely come to Delhi and said that after the formation of the cabinet, Nitish will come to Delhi and meet Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.

It is possible that Nitish will come to Delhi only after the party’s executive meeting and meet both the top Congress leaders. Apart from the courtesy meeting, the common politics of the opposition will also be discussed then. It is being told that Nitish Kumar and Arvind Kejriwal can also meet at that time and K Chandrashekhar Rao can also meet Nitish in Delhi. He is also likely to meet Sharad Pawar. It looks like Nitish will try for opposition unity from next month.
