Ganga water receded in Patna, Chhath Ghat started getting ready

Patna The work of preparing the Ganga Ghats has intensified for the Chhath festival. After the decrease in the water level of Ganga, the district administration is also engaged in improving the condition of many kutcha ghats. Chhath Puja will start from October 28.

A Patna official says that the water level of the Ganges has come down, but the condition of swamps remains on the kutcha ghats. There is still water standing at Bansghat and Collectorate Ghat.

Due to this four-day festival of folk faith, the soil on the steps of the pucca ghats is being removed. Work is being done to make contact roads on the kutcha ghats, where there is swamp. Officials said that after October 25, the work of barricading will start. Barricading of dangerous and high water level areas will be done. Apart from this, provision is also being made for temporary changing rooms.

Officials say that by October 28, all the ghats will be ready. They are inspecting the ghats. The water level of Ganga is continuously decreasing. For Chhath Puja, 105 ghats have been marked from Danapur to Didarganj. 21 teams have been constituted to take stock of the condition of all these ghats.
