NITI Aayog: Good news about the economy, economic growth will happen at the rate of 10 percent

NITI Aayog: NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar said on Tuesday that the country’s economic growth rate will be 10 percent or more in the current financial year. Whereas in the next financial year 2022-23, it is estimated to be more than 8 percent. Speaking on the sidelines of a book launch event, Kumar said that during the seven years of the Narendra Modi government, a strong economic foundation has been laid for the companies to flourish.

Relief on the economic front
Due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, there has been a problem on the economic growth front for two years. The International Monetary Fund has projected a growth of 9.5 percent in 2021. Kumar said, “According to the Monetary Fund, India will be the largest economy to achieve rapid growth in the next five years…”

He said, “India’s growth rate will be 10 percent in the current financial year 2020-21 and after coming out of the Kovid-pandemic, our growth rate will be more than 8 percent in the financial year 2022-23.” The forecast for the economic growth for the year has been reduced from 10.5 per cent to 9.5 per cent. At the same time, the Monetary Fund has projected a growth rate of 9.5 percent in 2021 and 8.5 percent next year.

Kumar said, “Things are changing and people are ready to invest in India”. Last month, the IMF lowered India’s medium-term sustainable growth forecast to 6 per cent, citing the pandemic.
