Nine people died after falling in a ditch of a bus in Poonch

Jammu. Nine people were killed and 27 others injured when a mini bus fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. According to officials, a joint rescue operation is being conducted in the area by the army, police and local villagers. The Lieutenant Governor has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased.
Officials said that around 36 passengers were traveling in the bus and the road was going from Maidan to Poonch. However, the bus met with an accident near the Barari drain in the border area of ​​Savjiyan.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha tweeted, “Saddened by the death in a road accident in Savjian, Poonch. Condolences to the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Five lakh rupees will be given to the next of kin of the deceased. Police and administration officials have been directed to provide best treatment to the injured. (Language)
