Delhi is still not far… but Prithvi Shaw’s…

IPL 2022 DC Shaw: After every match being played in IPL 2022, now the playoff situation seems to be clear. CSK’s journey came to an end after the defeat at the hands of MI yesterday. However, there is still a lot of potential left for DC. But a bad news is coming about opener Prithvi Shaw that he can also stay out of both the matches of Delhi remaining in the league stage. Team’s assistant coach Shane Watson said in his statement on the continuing doubts about Prithvi’s health that the chances of Shaw playing in the last two matches of the league stage are slim. Shaw has developed fever and has been admitted to the hospital. He last played on May 1 against Lucknow Super Giants and has missed three matches since then.

Shaw is hospitalized

IPL 2022 DC Shaw: While talking to the Grade Cricketer podcast on Thursday, Watson said that I do not know exactly but he has a fever for the last few weeks. Not being available for the last few matches is not looking very good for him as he is a skilled young batsman who has the ability to strike the best bowlers in the world. He further said that his absence is a big loss for us. Hopefully, he will make a full recovery soon but unfortunately, it is not going to happen in time at least for the last two matches.

Hopes up for playoffs

IPL 2022 DC Shaw: Ricky Ponting said that Prithvi has now been thrown out. However, he did not say for how many matches he has been dropped. After the match, when captain Rishabh Pant was asked whether the IPL was over for Shaw, he too did not have a concrete answer. Pant said that we miss him, but at the same time it is something that we cannot control. He got typhoid or something like that because the doctor told me. Hopefully he’ll be back but we don’t know yet. If he comes back it will be a good one and even better for us. The team of Delhi Capitals has scored 12 points in 12 matches, now their hopes of reaching the playoffs remain intact.
