NGT imposes fine of 15 crores on Noida builder

New Delhi. At this time NGT is completely strict about ignoring the environment. That is why the Grape System has been implemented in the entire NCR including Delhi 15 days ago. Challans are also being issued at different places and fines are being imposed on those who ignore the rules. In one such case, the NGT has directed a Noida builder to pay a compensation of Rs 15 crore for the construction of additional floors. The NGT has given this decision against Express Builder and Promoters Private Limited for the construction of ‘Express Zenith’ in Sector-77 of Noida.

NGT Chairperson Justice A.K. Goyal (AK Goyal), Justice Sudhir Agarwal and expert member A. A bench comprising Senthil Bell and Afroz Ahmed said that it was pre-arranged that ground plus 18 floors were to be constructed on the basis of EC, but the builder violated the rules. By constructing Ground Plus 19 floors in 5 towers. The bench said, the builder is liable to pay the redressal compensation on the polluter payment principle. Therefore, he is directed to pay a compensation of Rs 15 crore. The NGT has also directed that the builder will have to deposit this fine with the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar within 1 month. If this is not done, then after 1 month, forcible recovery will be done. (IANS)
