Samsung will teach AI to poor Indian students, children will get training under CSR program
Samsung: Samsung Innovation Campus will prepare underprivileged and poor students in India for future technological opportunities in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT, Big Data, Coding and Programming. An agreement has also been signed between Samsung and the Electronics Sector Skill Council of India to train the first batch of 3,000 backward students from India. The agreement was signed in the presence of Minister of State for Skill Development, Rajiv Chandrashekhar.
Children will get training under CSR program
Samsung has launched its CSR program Samsung Innovation Campus in India. The campus aims to provide training to youth in the age group of 18-25 years in futuristic technologies and enhance their employability. These are the most important technical skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Youth enrolled for the program will undergo classroom and online training and complete useful capstone projects in their chosen technical areas from Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data and Coding & Programming.
There is no dearth of talent in the country
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that while there is no dearth of talent in the country, on the other hand the demand for talented and skilled Indians is also increasing rapidly across the world. Skill should not only be there to make the youth employable, but it should be like a passport to their prosperity, where others can be employed and new employment opportunities can be created. The more employable the skill, the more will students and young Indians be attracted to it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that digital opportunities should be equally available to every Indian. At the same time, the Prime Minister wants that such efforts should be made not only in the best institutions of the country, but also from the universities and institutions of Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
