Will stop operating for children…

New Initiatives : Business groups have previously warned that if the proposal becomes law, social media companies will shut down operations for children in California rather than face legal risk. The bill would only apply to social media companies that had gross revenues of at least $100 million last year. The bill appears to be targeting social media giants like Facebook. This will not apply to streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, or to companies offering only email and messaging services.

Now will protect the children…

New Initiatives : Republican leader Jordan Cunningham, who introduced the bill, said the era of autocratic social experiments on children is over and we will protect children. He said that there was a discussion going on for a long time that children are getting more harm than benefits from social media platforms. People said that due to this, the power of thinking and understanding in the children was decreasing and there was also a lack of enthusiasm to do new things. At the same time, some people also said that social media is working to make children lazy, due to which children have started looking at getting up from their beds and going for a walk outside.
