new axis of the world

Vladimir Putin has now bluntly declared that ‘a polar world It’s over. It is clear from China’s statements that it is with Russia in this assessment.

It is no secret now that China and Russia want to create an axis in the world that challenges American hegemony. The presidents of both countries had expressed their intention in the first week of February this year when Russian President Vladimir Putin went to Beijing for the inauguration of the Winter Olympics. Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping issued two joint communiqués on that occasion, expressing their intention to create a new world order. Only three weeks after that, Russia invaded Ukraine. Now, nearly three-and-a-half months after the war broke out, Russia and China have again signaled that they stand by their intention to create a separate axis in the world. Rather, they are working together to realize this intention. This time the occasion became the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the forum. There Putin bluntly declared that the ‘one polar world’ had come to an end.

Putin launched a scathing attack on America. In his speech, he targeted America and its allies. Consider these words of his- ‘When the Cold War was won, America declared itself to be the representative of God on earth. It presented itself as a country that has no responsibility, only self-interest. He declared his selfishness holy. It was one-way traffic that made the world unstable. On the other hand, Jinping said that the practice of severance between economies, supply interruptions, and imposing unilateral sanctions should be rejected outright. China has said that Western countries have imposed many types of sanctions. These unilateral sanctions have pushed the world towards the Cold War. At the same time there has been a division in the world economy. The message is clear. Russia and China are building their own axis, but they are blaming the West for this.
