Muzaffarnagar shootout: CBI presents answers in court

Nainital, In the Uttarakhand High Court on Monday, the response was presented by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the District and Sessions Court of Dehradun in five cases related to the Muzaffarnagar shooting. A bench of Senior Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra heard the petition filed by Advocate Raman Sah today. On behalf of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the District and Sessions Court of Dehradun, the answers were presented in this case today. It has been said on behalf of both the parties that the trial of five cases related to Muzaffarnagar shooting was going on in the CBI court in Dehradun. The court has taken on record the replies of both the parties and asked the petitioner to reply to the affidavits of both the parties through counter affidavit. The next hearing in this matter will be on November 14.

Significantly, thousands of agitators from Uttarakhand were leaving for Delhi on the night of October 01, 1994, demanding the state of Uttarakhand. Muzaffarnagar Police of Uttar Pradesh had stopped the state agitators at Rampur Tirahe with heavy police force and during this stone pelting DM of Muzaffarnagar Anant Kumar Singh was injured. After this, the Muzaffarnagar police brutally lathi-charged the state agitators and in this incident some agitators were martyred while more than 250 were injured and many women agitators were molested.
