Landslide disrupts traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway

Srinagar. Vehicular traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been disrupted due to stone falling from the hills in Ramban. Officials gave this information on Saturday. Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police said, traffic is moving on Mughal Road and SSG Road.

However, the traffic was disrupted due to the cafeteria bend on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW and the continuous falling of stones from the hills at Mehed in Ramban area. The highway is the lifeline of the Kashmir Valley and is the main road connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country. Trucks going to Kashmir pass through the highway laden with essential and other vehicles. Trucks carrying fruits from Kashmir also go through this route to the rest of the country. (IANS)
