75 days of free vaccination of precaution dose of corona vaccine ended, coverage was only 27%

In these 75 days, precaution doses of corona vaccine were administered free of cost. This campaign ended on Friday. According to the available data, 15.92 crores in these 75 days Precaution Dose Free installed. This campaign was started in mid-July on completion of 75 years of the country’s independence.
When the campaign for this free preconception dose was started in July, before that only 8 percent of the youth in the country were given this third dose of the vaccine. Now after the end of this campaign, this number of youth has increased to 27 percent. This shows that three-fourths of the country’s youth population is yet to receive the precaution dose of the corona vaccine.
More than 13 lakh vaccination centers were built in the country
A total of 13.01 lakh vaccination centers were set up in the country for this massive campaign of 75 days of free precaution doses. Of these, 4451 vaccination centers were set up on the route of religious pilgrimages. in order to cover a large population. Also, about 11.03 lakh vaccination camps were organized in government or private workplaces. Precaution dosage was started in India in January this year. Earlier this preconception dose was made free for the elderly above 60 years of age. Along with this, it was also made free for healthcare workers and frontline workers. From April, the price was fixed by the government for people between the ages of 18 and 59 to install it at private immunization centers.
Different coverage across states
Earlier, the Indian Express report claimed that the figures for the third dose or precaution dose of the corona vaccine differ from state to state. It has 92.10 percent coverage in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Whereas in Meghalaya it has 6.11 percent coverage. It was already free for all the youth in Delhi even before the 75-day free preconception dose campaign run by the central government. The coverage of precaution dose in Delhi was 19.6 per cent. While its coverage is 38 percent in Odisha, 37.7 percent in Gujarat, 28 percent in Uttar Pradesh, 23.4 percent in Bihar, 22.98 percent in West Bengal and 24.4 percent in Madhya Pradesh.
