The local administration announced to end the dharna of students demanding justice in Chandigarh University campus since Sunday evening at around 1:30 pm. Till late night, several meetings were held between students, local administration officials and university authorities and after that this announcement was made.

Punjab Police DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar told that the students have been explained. In the matter, the Punjab Police is taking strict action as per the law. The investigation of this entire matter will continue even further. After this explanation, the students are ending their dharna by following the advice of the local administration.

University is not hiding anything

University’s Director Students Welfare Arvinder Singh Kang told that the university is not trying to hide anything. It is feared that some girls are missing and they are not being allowed to come forward, those girls themselves do not want to come forward in this matter and have gone to their homes with their families. There is no such thing that any girl has tried to commit suicide. The girls are completely safe.
