Modi wants a strong opposition!

Kanpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he wants a strong opposition in the country, amid criticism from central agencies for the ongoing actions against leaders of opposition parties. He said this in a speech on Friday in Paraunkh, the native village of President Ram Nath Kovind in Kanpur Dehat district. He also said that he is not personally against anyone. Without naming any opposition party, the Prime Minister in his speech at the President’s village alleged that democracy is being hollowed out because of family parties.

Significantly, Prime Minister Modi had given the slogan of Congress-mukt Bharat. Pointing to this, Modi said- I am not against any party, I want a strong opposition in the country. Earlier, he was received by the President at the airport. Modi thanked President Ram Nath Kovind for this. The Prime Minister said that he wants a strong opposition among parties dedicated to the country and democracy. He said- I am not against anyone, I do not have any personal matter with anyone.

In the native village of the President, the Prime Minister said that the parties involved in nepotism should rise above it to strengthen democracy. The Prime Minister released a coffee table book focused on the Kanpur countryside at the event. A documentary focusing on the President and Paraunkh village was also screened at the ceremony. The President, Prime Minister and Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel attended the event. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed all this.
