West Bengal government has passed a resolution against the excesses of central agencies, on which Mamata Banerjee said that there are some people within BJP who are misusing ED and CBI for their own benefit.

He said that Mamata Banerjee and her family were on the CBI radar in the past because the court had given mandatory orders for the investigation. However, all opposition parties, including Mamata Banerjee herself and her party leaders, accuse the Center of misuse of agencies. The Bengal Assembly on Monday passed a resolution against excesses by central investigative agencies, with 189 MLAs voting in favor and 69 (most of whom were BJP MLAs) opposing it.
Many TMC leaders on radar
The resolution has been passed at a time when several members of the ruling Trinamool are being probed by central agencies. These include Partha Chatterjee, a former minister in the Mamta government. He was arrested for his role in an alleged teacher recruitment scam in the state. The party’s Birbhum district chief Anubrata Mandal is being investigated in the alleged cattle smuggling case. Apart from these, the ED has seized crores of rupees by raiding against many others.
