MLA Kailash Gahatodi resigns from Champawat seat of Uttarakhand, CM Dhami will contest by-election
Dehradun | CM Dhami Contest By-Election: Big news has come out from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Champawat MLA Kailash Gehtori has resigned from his post. Actually, the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami is going to contest the by-election from this seat. Due to which Champawat MLA has tendered his resignation while vacating the assembly seat.
CM Dhami Contest By-Election: Let us tell you that CM Dhami is originally from Pithoragarh district and the number of voters residing in Pithoragarh district in Banbasa and Tanakpur assembly constituencies is also very high. Due to which CM Dhami has decided to contest from Champawat assembly seat, which is also adjacent to his traditional seat Khatima. After the resignation of Kailash Gahtori, now the way has been cleared for CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to contest the by-election to reach the assembly.

Dhami had lost from Khatima seat even in the midst of BJP’s victory.
It is worth mentioning that in Uttarakhand assembly elections 2022, BJP may have raised the flags of victory and formed its government for the second time by winning 47 out of 70 assembly seats, but in this victory also Pushkar Singh Dhami was defeated by Khatima seat. Had to see his face. However, the BJP high commands reposed their faith in him and made him the chief minister of the state again.
