Mithun’s joke and Adhir Ranjan’s restlessness

BJP leader and film actor Mithun Chakraborty may have joked that he has good relations with 38 Trinamool Congress MLAs and 21 is in direct contact. It is the opposite situation in West Bengal. Two BJP MPs and about half a dozen MLAs have left the party and joined Trinamool and even now about two dozen BJP MLAs are said to be in touch with Trinamool. So it is an exaggeration or a joke that Trinamool MLAs are in touch with the BJP and may switch sides. Trinamool has 70 MLAs more than the majority. So nothing is going to happen to 21 or 38 MLAs.

But Mithun Chakraborty’s bigotry or joke was taken seriously by Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. He made a statement that the MLAs of the state government are ready to be sold. Actually Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has his own feud with Mamta Banerjee. So they got enthused by the statement of the BJP leader. He felt that whether the BJP should do the same miracle in Maharashtra as it did in Bengal. From this it seems that they accept BJP but not Trinamool Congress. Same is the thinking of Congress in Trinamool too. That is why the Trinamool Congress has distanced itself from the demonstrations of the Congress in Parliament and outside Parliament as well.
