New Delhi. The Delhi government has made it mandatory for the people interested to get the electricity subsidy to fill the application form. Now the consumer has to apply for subsidy every month.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that both online and offline channels will be available from Wednesday for the customers opting for subsidy in electricity bill. He said in a press conference that electricity consumers in Delhi can give a missed call on the number 70113111111 to opt for subsidy.
Kejriwal said that many people in Delhi want to give up subsidy in electricity bill and those who are willing to take subsidy will have to fill a form to apply. He said that after the missed call, the consumers will get the application form on WhatsApp, which they can fill to get the subsidy.
The Chief Minister said that those who applied for subsidy by October 31 would be given the subsidy till that month. He said that people can apply for subsidy every month. (Language)
