Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. On the second day of the yatra, he went to the Vaishno Devi temple in Katra and offered prayers there. Apart from this, today he will do many other programs.

Security arrangements have been beefed up ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said on Monday that in view of Amit Shah’s visit, several level security arrangements have been made and drones are being used for aerial surveillance. (PTI)

Amit Shah is scheduled to address two rallies during this period. He will address a rally in Jammu’s Rajouri district on Tuesday and another rally in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district tomorrow Wednesday. The Bharatiya Janata Party has promised Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to them as part of a long-pending demand of the Pahari community living in these two areas. (PTI)
