‘Many women commissions now become Kitty Party offices’, so Swati Maliwal got angry on CU case

Taking a jibe at Manisha Gulati, Swati Maliwal wrote, ‘Chairman of Punjab Women’s Commission is laughing while giving information about a serious matter like Chandigarh University? Together they are saying that no video of girls was made. She further said, ‘Women’s commissions are for the benefit of women. Regrettably, most of the women’s commissions in the country have become just kitty party offices.

‘No girl committed suicide’

Significantly, objectionable video of girl students studying in Chandigarh University has been linked on social media, after which it is being said that some girl students tried to commit suicide. On this whole matter, Manisha Gulati said that “a lie has been spread in this case that some girls have committed suicide. This is all rumour. No girl child has committed suicide and no one is admitted in the hospital.

He said, ‘The girl who made this video viral. Taking immediate action on him, the officials have registered a case under section 354 (C) IT. Strict action will be taken against him. If all this was already going on then I assure you that it is a matter of intense investigation and I will keep an eye on this matter. In connection with the leak of the video, many students of the university protested fiercely last night. The protesting students have alleged loss of lives and injuries to the people related to the incident.

What did SSP say?

On this entire incident, Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said, ‘It is being said that apart from the viral video, some other videos have been made. This is totally wrong. No other such video has come to the fore in our investigation. An FIR has been registered from our side. A student has also been arrested. They said, ‘We are investigating this matter thoroughly. Whatever information and videos we have, we are getting forensic investigation done. In the investigation we have done so far, it is clear that the video which is there is his own. There is no video of anyone other than him.
