Mamta distances herself from Partha Chatterjee

Kolkata, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party have distanced themselves from the state government minister Partha Chatterjee, who was arrested in the teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal. Mamta Banerjee said that if Parth has done wrong then he should be punished. She said that if she has made a mistake, she will not support him at all. Mamta even said that even if Parth gets life imprisonment, it doesn’t matter.

Mamta said- I do not support corruption or any kind of wrongdoing. If anyone is found guilty, he should be punished, but I condemn the malicious campaign being run against me. He said that the truth should come out, but within a time limit. Mamta said- If BJP is thinking that it can break my party by using central agencies, then it is thinking wrong, it will not happen.

Significantly, Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, ED on Saturday in an alleged money laundering case related to the teacher recruitment scam. The arrest was made after cash worth over Rs 20 crore was recovered from Parth’s close aide Arpita. Arpita has also been arrested in this case. After his arrest, Partha Chatterjee was taken to AIIMS Bhubaneswar after his health deteriorated.

On this Mamta said – I am ashamed, took Odisha to AIIMS, we have number one medical college, there are very good colleges in private, what is nothing in Bengal, what is your intention, Maharashtra will speak a lot. Then we will do Jharkhand, then we will do Chhattisgarh, then we will do Bengal. Mamata Banerjee on Monday addressed an award function of the state government and criticized the BJP for the malicious campaign launched against her government.

She said that she does not support corruption. Mamta said- We have full faith in the judiciary. There should be a time limit within which the truth and the court’s decision should come out. If someone is found guilty, he should be punished. The party will also take action. But, I criticize the malicious campaign against me. Meanwhile, BJP has shared a video in which Mamata Banerjee is seen talking to Arpita Mukherjee. On this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that Trinamool Congress has nothing to do with it. He said that he did not know that woman.
