Lumpy disease serious problem in Rajasthan

Jaipur. Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Sanjeev Balyan said that the problem of lumpi virus infection is more serious in Rajasthan. He said that about 12.5 lakh cows are suffering from this disease in the state.

Balyan said that the responsibility of supplying Lumpi virus vaccine lies with the central government and still the Rajasthan government has about 30 lakh vaccine doses. So far only 12 lakh vaccines have been administered here. He said that since this problem is serious in Rajasthan, the central government is ready to provide all possible help. Balian said that animal husbandry and dairy is the subject of the state, we can only help financially, provide equipment and vaccines, but vaccination is the responsibility of the Rajasthan government.
