LUCKNOW NEWS: Under ‘Quality Assurance’, Juggaur PHC got first prize across the district. 1 News Track English

Lucknow: The capital’s Juggaur Primary Health Center (PHC) has got the first prize in the district under ‘Quality Assurance’. In the form of Kayakalp award, Juggaur PHC has been given a consolation prize of Rs 2 lakh and Sarojininagar, Khujauli, Kumhrawan and Gangaganj PHCs have been given a consolation prize of Rs 50,000 each. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Agarwal gave this information. He informed that ‘Kayakalp Award is being given under quality assurance in the state for many years. All the staff of these PHCs deserve congratulations for this award. Other health centers of the district should also take lessons from them and make efforts for the award.

The Chief Medical Officer said that earlier Community Health Center (CHC) Bakshi Ka Talab, Itaunja, Mohanlalganj, Chinhat, Malihabad, Sarojininagar and Urban Community Health Center Silver Jubilee have received the Kayakalp Award for the year 2020-21. Apart from this, Veerangana Avantibai District Women’s Hospital has got ‘National Quality Assurance Standard’ (ENQUAS) and ‘Quality Improvement Initiative in Labor Room and Maternity’ OT (Lakshya) certificate.

District Quality Assurance Consultant Dr. Nazia Shaheen informed that the National Health Mission has released the list of 295 PHCs in the top districts of the state. The Kayakalp Awards were instituted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 May 2015. Seven points on health centers to get the award in this category; ‘Improving the working style and efficiency of the hospital staff, cleanliness in the health facility premises, biomedical waste management, hygiene promotion, cleanliness outside the boundary wall of the health center, sanitization, infection management etc. Points are given by the investigation team. Under this, the health centers with the highest scores are rewarded.
