When we transfer from one place to another, we also get our gas connection transferred there. But if the son or daughter of the family goes to some other city for studies or job, then can we transfer our connection in his name. What is the way to do this, what documents are needed for this?

How to transfer gas connection in the name of your child
Now it has become easy to transfer gas connection in the name of any member of the household. If the person in whose name you want to transfer does not have LPG connection, then in this case request the distributor. It is mandatory to have all the following documents along with it-
KYC of the transferee (Identity proof like Aadhar card, PAN card)
proof of address
Submit original Subscription Vouchers (SV) in your name, if SV is not there, submit an affidavit
Declaration from Transferee
After submission of documents the company will do KYC verification, verification of various connections will be done at the given address for transfer. Thereafter the distributor will create a new SV in the name of Transferee. The security deposit will remain the same as the original SV.
In the event of the death of the head of the family
If the head of the family (in whose name the gas connection is) has died and you are the legal heir, then the procedure has to be followed to get the transfer done in your name. However, now the process of transferring the gas connection has been made easier. If there is no LPG connection in the name of transferee, request your distributor. Submit these documents along with-
- Declaration by Legal Heir
- copy of death certificate
- KYC of successor
address proof
Original SV in the name of the deceased person, submit affidavit in case SV is not available, KYC will be verified, various connections will be checked at the given address for transfer after that the distributor will create a new SV in the name of the transferee. The security deposit will remain the same as the original SV.
