Sultanpur. The local court in Sultanpur has also imposed a life sentence on the accused of raping a 10-year-old Dalit girl along with a fine of Rs 55,000.
Special Public Prosecutor CL Dwivedi told that Special Judge (POCSO Act) (POCSO Act) Pawan Kumar Sharma accused Santosh Soni in the case of raping a 10-year-old Dalit girl alone in the house in a village under Sangrampur police station area of Amethi district. Convicting the accused, he has been sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 55,000.
Dwivedi told that the incident is of 19 April 2020. He told that according to the allegations, the father had gone to harvest wheat with his children at the time of the incident and his 10-year-old daughter was alone in the house to take care of the house, when the accused Santosh Soni entered the house and killed the minor after raping her. He fled after threatening to kill him. (Language)
