Bollywood Films Boycott Trend: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor recently expressed his concern over the growing trend of boycotting films, angering Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra calling the actor a “flop actor”. “Instead of threatening people, Arjun Kapoor should focus on his acting,” Mishra said during a press event.

He further said, ‘Actors who target Hinduism in their films and supporters of tukde-tukde gang should not try to threaten the public.’ He also shared this thing on Twitter.

In an interview to ‘Bollywood Hungama’ regarding the boycott trend, actor Arjun Kapoor had said, ‘I think we made a mistake by keeping quiet for so long. Our modesty was considered our weakness. We have always believed in letting work speak for itself, all no matter what. The film industry needs to come together and get to the root of the issue.

Talking about the culture of cancellation on social media that has affected Bollywood, Arjun Kapoor said, “We tolerated a little too much. Now people are used to it. ‘Ek Villain Returns’ actor Arjun Kapoor is now facing trolling on social media for this.

Significantly, due to the boycott, Hindi cinema is getting affected a lot. Recently a huge negative campaign was launched against Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, while Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ also faced boycott.

Apart from this, the boycott of ‘Vikram Vedha’ also trended on social media, as the lead actor of the film Hrithik Roshan supported ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’.
