Surat: Organized a three day ‘Sports Carnival’ as a part of 36th National Games-2022
Cycling, skating rally will be organized along with traditional rural sports in Sports Carnival
Surat With its positive outlook in the field of sports, Gujarat will host the prestigious “36th National Games 2022” from September 27 to October 10, 2022 with the concurrence of the Indian Olympic Association. At that time, Surat has hosted four sports namely Table Tennis, Badminton, Beach Hand Ball and Beach Volleyball. Around 1100 players will take part in it.
As part of the 36th National Games in Surat, sports heroes, students will be sensitized by organizing a sports carnival on the canal walkway near GD Goenka for three days on 17th, 18th and 19th September.
1100 players will participate in four indoor-outdoor games in Surat in the National Games
Under its plan, a meeting was held at Adajan Art and Performing Center in the presence of Mayor Hemaliben Boghawala, Municipal Commissioner Banchha Nidhi Pani and District Collector Ayush Oak. A large number of school children will participate in traditional village games like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Gilidanda, Lakhoti, Bori race on 17th at 7.00 am. Tribal and folk dance. There will be cycle league rally, skating rallies on the canal corridor on 18th. On 19th, various sports associations of the city with their platoons will hold parade sports rally. There will be food festivals and cultural programs on these days. The food festival at one place will run from September 17 to October 5.
Request to participate in the celebration of three day sports carnival
On this occasion, the Mayor said that Surat has topped in every field. When Surat got the host position of four games of the National Games, children, athletes, sports related associations participated and advocated to make it a success. He requested everyone to participate in the celebration of the three day sports carnival.
On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Banchanidhi Pani said that the 36th National Games Under Four match will be held in Surat. The courtyard of Surat expressed the expectation of everyone’s cooperation for school promotion, sports carnival festival, participation of maximum number of children in the three-day sports carnival. He appealed to the children to participate in those sports and watch and enjoy the National Games in which they are interested. District Collector Ayush OK advocated maximum participation of Surti in the sports carnival. The Deputy Mayor, CEO of SUDA, MD of DGVCL and representatives of various sports federations were present on the occasion.
