Mumbai: The misbehavior with the traffic policemen became costly.

Mumbai The Sessions Court in Mumbai has convicted two persons and sentenced them to six months’ imprisonment for assault and misbehavior with a traffic police constable. This case is from the year 2016 when the police stopped both of them for violating traffic rule. Additional Sessions Judge SD Tavshikar passed this order on October 11 and imposed a fine of five thousand rupees each on both the convicts. The judge said that since the victim police constable was injured in the incident, the guilty should give him a compensation of Rs 8,000. A copy of the order became available this week.

The judge convicted Mohammad Shakir and Aslam Mehndi Sheikh, residents of Worli area of ​​Mumbai, Section-353 (assault on a government official in the line of duty) and Section-332 (voluntarily) of the Indian Penal Code. of causing hurt to a Government official). The court said that the prosecution has proved the case and the medical report also proves that the police constable was injured by the attack of the accused. According to the prosecution, on July 14, 2016, he slapped and strangled police constable Praveen Kadam when he stopped the accused at ‘No Entry’ road in Worli. (Language)
