Kokrajhar | Jignesh Mevani Arrest: Gujarat’s independent MLA Jignesh Mevani, who was imprisoned behind the bars for the tweet case against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has again suffered a major setback. Mevani got bail in this case today. But as soon as he got bail, the Assam Police arrested him again.

Now the charge of attack on the police
On Monday, Assam’s Kokrajhar First Class Judicial Magistrate Bhavna Kakoti granted bail to Jignesh Mevani with several conditions. But the Assam Police has arrested him again, accusing him of attacking the police. He has been again taken to Barpeta in Kokrajhar district.

Prime Minister was accused
Let us tell you that Mevani was arrested on April 19 from Palanpur in Gujarat. An FIR was registered at Kokrajhar police station regarding one of his tweets, in which it was said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘considers Godse as God.
