Ranchi. Security of BJP and ED office has been beefed up in view of issuing summons to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for questioning of ED in illegal mining case. Soren was called to the ED office at 11.30 am on Thursday, but it was already indicated by the Chief Minister that he was not going to the ED’s call at present. Mr. Soren will go to Raipur in the afternoon, where he will take part in the Chhattisgarh Foundation Day celebrations. At the same time, the security of the ED office has been increased. A large number of security forces have been deployed outside the ED office at Ranchi’s Airport Road on Thursday in view of the summons issued by the ED to Soren.
Terming the issue of summons to Soren as a political conspiracy, JMM workers have started protesting in the capital Ranchi today. Due to this, tight security arrangements have been made around the BJP office and Raj Bhavan. JMM workers have gathered at Morhabadi ground in Ranchi. The JMM workers, who reached Morhabadi ground without any invitation, are accusing them of misusing the central investigative agencies. Earlier, Chief Minister Soren has clearly said that he is not afraid of ED’s action. Terming it as a political conspiracy of the opposition, he said that it will be given a befitting reply on the appropriate platform. (talk)
